Woodland Park Zoo-Lights

The Wednesday before Christmas Break we met up with our friends Anne & Erik and Rod & Jacquie, along with all their kiddos, to attend Zoo Lights. Erik is currently working on an exhibit at the zoo, so he gets a few perks, such as getting his family (and friends who tag along) in to the zoo for free, which included Zoo Lights. However, when going, we don't enter through the normal entrance, but rather from a side (locked) gate in which he has a key to. So we all met up that evening next to that side entrance. And of course, since it was night time, any passerby who would happen to see us would think this large group of people were sneaking in. To make this whole situation even more awkward and hilarious to us, after we got in and started to walk around, we noticed there wasn't anyone else around(!). So Peter and I were cracking jokes about this and were hoping that we didn't go in too early before the actual event opened to the public (which, was actually the case!). Luckily, about 5 or so minutes later we saw people entering and we were able to blend in. We're very lucky and grateful for our friends to invite us to join them. And we had a good time. Plus the weather wasn't as cold as when we went last year, so that made it more enjoyable.
