Christmas Eve

Our Christmas was AMAZING!! I don't even know where to begin on sharing all the fun we had. And best part about it all?? Along with boys being on Christmas Vacation, Peter took the entire week of Christmas off too! The SECOND best part of it all?? We ALL got along with one another! Talk about a relaxing, stress-free holiday!

Here are pics from our Christmas Eve. Christmas Day will have it's own post :)

Making and decorating sugar cookies for Santa
The night before I made these homemade blueberry rolls. The boys requested these. Traditionally, I make cinnamon rolls, but for whatever reason, they don't like that kind and complain every year. So I gave in to their request, which I didn't mind because these were yummy (I ended up putting a lemon glaze when they finished baking!).
Hot chocolate for my boys on Christmas Eve morning.
Boys woke up that morning to find the presents FINALLY put under the tree.
Tradition is to open one gift on Xmas Eve night, which is always a new set of pj's. Peter put a kibash to that notion this year, instead letting them open their gift that morning. This was mainly for the fact that we splurged and bought them the Skylanders video game set. We wrapped one of the character guys in their pj's.
Like last year, we went bowling again. But unlike last year, we weren't sick (yay!) and could enjoy ourselves. We met up with our friends Anne & Erik and boys for an hour or so of fun.
 Look!! I got 3 strikes in a ROW! Definitely picture-worthy :)
 Our Christmas Eve dinner...yum!
Dressed in our new Christmas pj's!
Cookies for Santa. (Side Story...boys decided to go to bed BEFORE 8 pm because they were anxious for Santa to come. About 10 minutes after tucking them into bed, Kristjan got up for a drink of water and was soooo mad at us because we were still up! He kept complaining that Santa wouldn't come if we were still awake. Guess that confirms they still believe (??). With them getting older, we thought they'd maybe caught on about the whole Santa thing but just aren't saying anything....who knows)
Our rule with each other is to buy gifts for our stockings. As the years go on, the presents seem to be getting bigger and bigger...
Santa came for Clifford and Kristjan! Can you guess whose is whose?
Even Sheeba got a Christmas gift.
