1) this one event is actually cute. for whatever reason, the boys wanted to wear their sunglasses in the bath and "swim with them underwater like [in the movie] Jaws". I'm like "ok, whatever". Kristjan wore his, but would only swim on his belly with his head up above water. Clifford, however, wore his and would swim with his head underwater. it was amusing
These next events took place all within about an hour
2) i'm in the living room while the boys are in the bathroom playing in the sink with their toys. no big deal-until i hear water hitting the floor. i go check on them. clifford is on the counter with his toys, while the sink is completely full of water. In the sink as well is Kristjan-completely naked-trying to sit in it!! i ask "what are you doing???!!!" kristjan just thinks my reaction is funny and proceeds to try and sit in the sink, while water is going everywhere!! i send them in their room for "quiet time" so i can clean up.
3) i check on the boys in their room. kristjan has found a marker. he has colored on his bed frame as well as coloring it on his lips as if he were applying lipstick. plus, the marker was brown, so it looked like dried blood on him!! he was all smiles doing this.
4) next, later on, clifford comes to me saying "mom i broke something. don't be mad". i'm thinking "great, what now?" i have him show me. he accidently broke of one of the rods in his closet, with clothes everywhere. not that big of a problem. i'm able to fix it and put all the clothes back. until..
5) i realize kristjan is awfully quiet and hasn't come out of the bathroom yet (he was in there getting a band aid). so i sneak up on him and peak in to see what he is doing. i couldn't believe it. he instead got into my nail polish container and was painting his toes! (with one foot already painted and working on the other). i run to get the camera (as frustrating as it was, it was also cute). while i'm getting the camera, clifford feels it's a great time to paint his as well. i was really happy when that day was over!!
