Roller Skating Family Night

A few weeks back our school's PTA had a Roller Skating Family Night event. Families were encouraged to come dressed in their pj's. Those who did were given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a few prizes (sadly, we didn't win anything). Peter and boys dressed in their pj's while I stuck to jeans. I would have happily gone in some too, but I didn't have anything cute to wear (sweatshirts and yoga capris is my norm for pj's, but unfortunately that's also my normal daily mommy wear too...no one would've been able to tell the difference lol). This was during the school week, so after about an hour we were getting a little tired but stuck it out and stayed for the whole event. It had been years since I last went roller skating, so I wobbly and very self-conscious. Peter was encouraging though, and the boys were very happy to see me out skating with them. To tell you the truth, not many adults were skating and were instead sitting on the sidelines to watch their kids. Clifford and Kristjan each participated in the speed skate race. Both boys came in first for their group. Peter and I had fun cheering them on. It was a good night. And even though it put us way past our bedtime once we got home, it was well worth the fun we had :)

Here are a few pics I managed to take before I had to lock my phone up in a locker..
