Last weekend, Pete and his buddy Nick took Clifford to hike his first mountain - Mt Persis. I was told Clifford did an amazing job. About a half hour to the summit, they had to stop. Clifford's feet were starting to get cold. Pete and Nick decided to set up camp, and then with just a day pack on, would then summit to the top. However, that didn't happen. Clifford was so tired, that he fell asleep around 1:30 pm...and stayed asleep the entire time, waking up only to drink something warm and eat a little bit of food. Pete said the hike itself was pretty good. He said the only issue was his tent and that Clifford needs better gear/clothing. Other than that, they came home with exhausted smiles on their face.
As for Kristjan and I, while they were away camping, we spent the day grocery shopping, shopping for the school's Giving Tree (the PTA decide to take whatever wasn't claimed and purchase the remaining gifts. I was given that task to purchase and wrap gifts, which I enjoyed doing), saw the movie Frozen - totally worth seeing!!! - and grabbing some take-out for dinner. The two of us had fun together as well!!
