The Evil Dead: The Musical

Saturday night Pete and I drove up to Lynden, WA to attend The Evil Dead Musical. We had a blast! I made sure we had tickets for the 'splatter zone', where the actors throw blood into that section of the audience during the performance. We lucked out with getting seats smack-dab in the middle front row. The show itself was great. They had all the key phrases from the movie, and even make references throughout the show about the director and the main actor in the movie (the chic that sat next me had never seen the movie, so she was always confused by why we were laughing or cheering at certain parts). During one of the song and dance, Pete was pulled up on stage by two of the female deadites. They put him in a chair and danced around him. One of the male characters even gave him a quick lap dance before someone else dumped a bucket of blood on him! I was so excited for him and cheered him on! The guy who gave him the lap dance was even kind enough to toss him a wipe for his glasses after he came back to his seat. I even had one of the characters die on me. She just plopped from the stage onto my lap. Then in another scene, the same gal died again and grabbed my leg. She held on for the longest time. For the finale, the actors went around the splatter zone section during their last main song and dance and dumped buckets of blood on everyone. I was a little sad that I didn't get as bloody as I was hoping for, but nevertheless, it was FUNtastic! At the end of the show, Pete and I had a chance to pose with the cast. We had so much fun. If the musical ever makes it back closer to Seattle, I think we'll go again.

Peter and I all white and tidy before heading out on our date

Peter and I posing with the cast. They did a fantastic job!

If it hadn't been so late when we got home, Pete wanted us to go into Walmart and scare a few customers lol
