Lowes Build & Grow

This morning we took Clifford and Kristjan to their first Build & Grow at Lowes, which is a free event. They each received an apron, hammer, and safety glasses. Today's project was a terrarium. We guided them through the steps, but they built it all by themselves. Once the project was completed, an employee filled their terrarium with soil and a few flower seeds. They were very pleased with their accomplishment. I asked if they would like to attend more of these, and they said yes. It looks like Lowes has 2 workshops a month. I'll definitely take more advantage of these and sign the boys up as often as I can.

While we were at Lowes, we decided to pick up some supplies to build a planter box. Pete got busy building as soon as we got home. It looks amazing!! We just need to buy more soil to finish filling up the box and plant our veggies.
