There's been a "moist" smell in the bathroom for a while. It started getting worse after one of the boys accidentally pushed in one of the tiles in the shower (it was one that had obviously been replaced prior to us moving in). Peter and I both took today off from work, so he figured today was a good day to address this issue.
At first it just started off as this : removing a few tiles to see what kind of damage has been done.
Then it progressed to this.
And to this.
And now our bathroom is in this state. It's obvious this issue has been going on for quite sometime, probably even before we ever moved in. And the more Peter thought about it, he remembered that before we moved in they replaced the bathroom flooring. Why would they have done that?? Hmmm...
So Peter now needs to finish tearing out the tile and sheet rock, pull the tub out (so we can see what type of damage to the flooring there is), and then let it all air out before putting everything back together.
