Legoland

On our last day of our trip we went to Legoland. Now while we still had fun and glad we went, it definitely didn't have the same appeal or enthusiasm as Disneyland, plus the boys were definitely at the end of the suggested age to enjoy themselves. Peter and I felt it would be a great place to recommend to those with younger children. We personally won't make a point of going back to Legoland again until either 1) we have grandkids to take or 2) we go to the original one in Denmark. But we're glad we were able to go at least this once to check it out, and with being fans of Legos, it still had some charm to it.

Here we are just before going inside
A good portion of your time at Legoland is just looking at everything and taking pictures
Here we are trading mini-figures. Clifford took time prior to the trip to put together a handful of mini-figures, while Kristjan decided not to. However, once we were there, we all realized quickly how fun and addicting it is to trade. Kristjan was upset with himself for not bringing any, though I did make a deal with Clifford to give one to his brother by trading him all my snacks and a $1. Clifford also gave me one for myself to trade.
We took the tour they had on how they make Legos.
Best part about this ride that the boys went on was bystanders could squirt them with water as they floated by. Papa and Peter took full advantage of this! Both boys were drenched afterwards!
We went on a few more rides while we were there. Any of the "big" ones we were interested in we didn't make it on. The lines were just taking too long to move.
However, this ride was fun. I don't remember what it was called, but I guess it had to do with the Knights theme. Before they strapped you in, you got to choose how intense you wanted the ride to be by choosing the numbers 1-5. Peter and I picked 2, while the boys picked 5.

Took a few moments for family pics
Legoland had a few characters from the Lego Movie to pose with
Look, a mouse!! Looks like Mickey is keeping tabs on the competition ;)
We signed up to do the Mindstorm activity. I surprisingly did pretty good.
Ahh, a cold one! Peter was excited to see this at Legoland since Disneyland didn't serve beer.
Apple Fries....oh so yummy!! I splurged and had two on our visit.
The main souvenir for uswas having a caricature of each boy drawn.
