While at work Peter smashed his hand between a slab of remboard (looks like plastic but has the density like aluminum). His finger/hand/wrist was bugging him all day long. He tried to alleviate the pain with ibuprofen, but as the day wore on it was getting worse. He came home from work with the plan to lance his fingernail (I took video of his attempt, priceless!), but all he ended up with was a hole in his nail. He hmm'ed and hawed before finally calling to make an appointment with the doctor to look at it. Luckily they had an opening available in twenty minutes, so off we went. So long story short, the doctor lanced it and Peter could feel immediate relief in his hand and wrist. His finger is still sensitive, even a week later, but it's healing nicely. Now he has a bruised nail with two holes in it LOL
