Backpacking Update

Well, it's a new year. The goal we made last year was to go backpacking once every month. Unfortunately, we missed out on going in November and December. Between the weather turning bad (major rainstorms caused flooding and then the snow came) and just not having time to squeeze it into our schedule, we were not able to complete the goal. BUT we think it's still so amazing that we managed to go out 10 times, not to mention all the weekly hikes I took the boys on with my mom's group. I think it's pretty impressive. It would be fun to calculate how many miles we hiked during the family trips. Maybe one of these days we'll sit down to figure it out :)
