Saturday night we invited our neighbor Sara and her son Zach to join us for dinner and to take a little drive to see some xmas lights. Pete and I cooked some homemade sweet 'n sour chicken, fried rice, teriyaki chicken and potstickers (the potstickers weren't homemade). Once we finished eating dinner, we bundled up and packed into the car to drive over to see the Mountlake Terrace Christmas Light Display. From my understanding, one particular neighborhood decorates their houses every year, and in return requests donations in food or cash form for a local food bank. We've never been to this, so we figured we'd check it out. We decided to park the car and actually walk around the neighborhood. It wasn't too impressive, meaning we probably won't do it again in future years. BUT it was for a good cause (we donated a bag full of canned goods) and the boys enjoyed it, which is all that matters. Santa happened to be there and gave the boys candy canes. Once back home, Pete whipped up a batch of caramel popcorn for us. It was a fun evening :)
