Math Night
Last Thursday the school had their Math Night event. After dinner we headed over to check it out. There were various math activities set up in the cafeteria and gym. Our boys particularity liked the guessing games, such as guessing the weight of different shapes and sizes of pumpkins, guessing how many pumpkin seeds were in the big pumpkin, and guessing how many items were in jars. Upon arrival to the event, students were given green and white colored slips of paper. These were used at the guessing games. If you guessed close, or exactly on, you would win the items in the jar. Well, come to find out, Kristjan guessed correctly for the jar of warheads candy! He came home from school the following day with a bag full of that candy. And come to find out, Clifford guessed correctly on the weight of a pumpkin, but I guess you had to still be there at the event in order to claim the pumpkin. We only stayed for a portion of the event. Clifford was a little bummed about missing out on getting the pumpkin.
