Family STEM Night
Earlier this month instead of meeting at the usual location for Cub Scouts, Pete decided to have the Bear den attend the Familly STEM Night at the Boeing Field with their families. He figured the boys would much rather do this than sit around a table for an hour. Since Kristjan's den was building a bird house, which he'd already done at Cub Camp, I decided to have him skip and we'd tag along. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We walked around to the various booths, looked at the model airplanes, and watched a performance by an Engineering professor from one of the local community colleges. Pete really liked this guy. And I know he was fascinated by his beard! We were there for almost two hours before deciding it was getting late for us and needed to head home. It was a nice switch up to our normal Wednesday nights. And I know Pete had the most fun :)
