A Perfect Checkup
Boys went to their 6-month dental check up on Friday. I'm pleased to announce they had perfect results. No Cavities!!! I did learn something interesting during Clifford's appointment. As the doctor was looking at his x-rays, she turns to me and asks "Does missing teeth run in the family?" Confused, I said no. She explained that usually around 4 years old, children will start to develop their permanent teeth, which you can see under the baby teeth in x-rays, though it can come as late as 9 years old. Clifford, however, has two teeth on the bottom that don't show permanent teeth, yet he does in the matching area on his top row. So unless they show up by the time he's 9, he will forever have 2 baby teeth!!
