We have one more week of summer vacation before school starts back up!! Clifford will start school on Sept. 7th and Kristjan on Sept. 13th. Tomorrow evening Pete and I go to Clifford's school for "parent night" to receive information, then Thursday afternoon we take Clifford to meet his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Castelle. I think I have everything ready to go for Clifford. Lunch items are bought, backpack and lunch bag labeled, clothes bought, and all school supplies purchased. Between now and next week we're working on having Clifford memorize his lunch number-yes, he gets a lunch number!!!
As for Kristjan, we go on the 7th to meet his preschool teacher, Mrs. O'Connell. Clifford had her his first year of preschool, and she is such a lovely lady. Kristjan is going to really like her a lot. Since I've already been through 2 years of preschool with the boys, I already know what to expect of this meeting. Other than school clothes shopping for Kristjan, I just need to go shopping for snacks. Instead of backpacks, for preschool they carry a tote bag, which then you can decorate it however you want. I made Clifford a dinosaur and star wars bag for his two years of preschool, and Kristjan had a little mermaid bag last year. For this year, Kristjan decided on spongebob. Last night I finally got motivated and created his spongebob school bag. I think it turned out pretty cute. Kristjan loves it and can't wait to take it on his first day of school!

Mariner's Game
Friday night we went to our first Mariner's game!! Manson Construction had their company dinner followed by the baseball game. Daniel was able to pick up two extra tickets plus Uncle Dale gave up his two tickets so we could all go. We met up with Daniel and his family in Seattle at the Manson yard. We weren't planning on attending the dinner, but Daniel and Jessica encouraged us to come, since in a way we were taking Dale's spot. The food was delicious!! And our boys were able to each get a pair of binoculars and a 'Manson' lunch bag. After dinner we headed to Safeco Field to be in line by 5pm to pick up our free Ichiro bobblehead. Oh my goodness-people take their baseball seriously, even while standing in line. It was chaos, but soooo much fun. The food and drinks was (of course) pricy. We had to try the garlic fries, as well as a bag of warm peanuts and cotton candy. The kids ran around in the play area and got a picture taken with the Mariner's Moose. The Mariner's weren't winning, so we left around the 7th inning so we could beat the traffic. Thank you Daniel for getting us tickets and showing us an awesome time at the baseball game!!!

Trip to the Zoo
Tuesday the boys and I went to Point Defiance Zoo with Jessica and her boys. We saw the new baby tiger cubs. We were able to catch two shows and watched both the sharks and polar bears being fed. At the end, the boys put on their bathing suits and played in the water. It was really nice to go and switch things up a bit with our schedule during the week. Thank you for an awesome time Jessica!
