Last night, we took Kristjan to the hospital, where he received his first set of stitches to the middle of his forehead. The boys were rough housing around just a little before it was time to put them to bed. Clifford pushed Kristjan, who ended up smacking his head in the corner of the wall (Clifford felt so bad; we told him it was an accident and that he wasn't in trouble). Blood immediately started running from Kristjan's forehead. We gathered ourselves up and made the drive to the hospital. The doctor was super nice. He gave us the option of gluing or stitching the wound. We decided on gluing, but as the doctor was prepping to do this, he said he wouldn't be satisfied with the results and wanted to stitch instead (when the doctor pushed the wound together you could see that it wouldn't go "back together" nicely if we glued it). So Clifford and I left the room (Clifford was bummed that he couldn't watch) while Pete stayed behind with Kristjan. Pete said he did ok in the beginning, then started screaming "mommy/daddy help me!". And then in the middle of it, he had to pee, which he ended up doing on the nurse. Luckily it was a quick hospital visit and Kristjan was a trooper. When it was over with, Kristjan said "I want brother to have a turn". We were actually surprised that Kristjan got stitches before Clifford did. At least we got the "first" one out of the way. Check out the pics
