Introducing Buddy
We have ANOTHER dog to add to the family. This is Buddy. He was originally our nephew Eldon's dog. It's come about that one of Eldon's brothers has an allergy to Buddy. My in-laws took Buddy home to the farm to be watched by Peter's sister Marie & family while they house sit for my in-laws (who were leaving for an 18 month mission trip). Unfortunately, Marie's husband is allergic as well. Wanting to keep this dog in the family, we offered to take Buddy. At the moment, it can be temporary (where he returns back to the in-laws in 18 months), or maybe we just possibly keep him indefinitely. No decision has been made yet. We need to see how this goes. So far he and Jasmine have started to pal around.
Party Time
Due to Snowmageddon 2019, we had to postpone Kristjan's birthday party with friends. The plan was to take him and a few of his friends to the Sugar Factory, but I failed in realizing just how popular this restaurant is and didn't make the reservations in time. So for backup we took everyone out to Red Robin for dinner and then hang out at the house afterwards. After dessert and gifts, they turned on some scary movies. It was a pretty good night.
Kristjan requested Cupabella cupcakes for his dessert

Orgy & Lords of Acid Concert
I bought Peter and I concert tickets to go see Lords of Acid (his fav) and Orgy (my fav). These two bands just happened to be on tour together, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I also had purchased a pair of tickets for our friends Chris and Wendy, but they had to back out the last minute. I did some research online and found out this concert was an all-ages show. Perfect! Peter and I decided to take the kids. Clifford was not interested at all, so he stayed home while Kristjan came with us to his very first concert. We stopped at Paseo for dinner (Caribbean food) before heading over to the venue. Peter and I splurged and bought Kristjan a t-shirt. I made sure to grab us a spot in the front row, which is where we stayed the entire night. Kristjan complained how he wanted to sit down. I told him "sorry, rules are once you're in front you never leave". He ended up being fine. He made a friend with one of the photographers there shooting for the concert. The people we were standing around with thought it was awesome of us for bringing Kristjan. The opening acts were definitely on the mature side, but we explained to Kristjan it's more of a shock-an-awe effect at the show. It honestly didn't bother him. There were some moments where I could see he was giggling and looking at me to see my reaction, but I didn't give one. He honestly was more fascinated by the flame effects, the lighting effect, and makeup. And the best part of the ENTIRE thing, was the drummer of Lords of Acid came down the stage at the end to hand Kristjan his drum stick! AND Kristjan ended up getting the set list signed by the members of LOA! AND I posted on the LOA facebook page about how awesome they made our son's first concert experience so amazing, that LOA re-shared it and we got so many props from around the world on how cool Kristjan was and how cool his parents are. NICE!
Dinner at Paseo
The first opening act. Kristjan is in LOVE with this.
Wearing his new shirt
Second opening act. We all though this chic looked just like Aunt Kim, especially once she removed the mask.

Orgy! OMG I loved this ban as a teen, constantly listening to their albums. Was so exciting to see them live. I rocked out hard (felt it the next day lol). And they were pretty good live, very engaging with the audience.

Happy Birthday Sarah & Gordon!
We went into downtown Seattle to celebrate our good friend Gordon's 40th Birthday! That night also happened to be my birthday. It was great - I got to go down to the waterfront and have seafood, all while being around amazing friends! Gordon and all his family were so sweet, giving me gifts as well. My absolute favorite gift was from Gordon's mom - she gave me a bag full of homemade scrunchies. I got a good laugh out of it because back when we went camping with them I told her how much I would love one. Now I have a whole bag to choose from!
Peter picked out an "old man" starter kit for Gordon. He got a kick out of it. Sadly, he said he could use everything in there LOL
My birthday dinner - YUM!
Some of the most fun and amazing people we know!
