We spent the afternoon hanging out with our friend Erik and his two boys at The Mountaineers in Seattle to let the kids do some rock climbing.
Afterwards we headed over to Magnuson Park for a picnic lunch by the water (Lake Washington).Saturday, May 19, 2018

Mother's Day
My Mother's Day was low-key this year, which was fine by me. Peter made me breakfast and a bbq dinner. For my gifts, he gave me a Porg from Star Wars (been wanting one!) and a diy bath bomb (which I used later that night). I took a trip to Lowes to purchase some flowers for the garden. For the most part, the boys didn't fight with each other, which was the best gift of all.

Clifford's Haircut
I'm so excited about this - Clifford got a haircut!!! Now, while he looks great with his curly hair long, I've been dying to see him with short hair again. And the best part about this is he on his own accord asked for it. I was more than happy to oblige.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo
The decor
After dinner while we let food digest before dessert, everyone went for a ride on Erik's bikes. Even I went on it - as Peter's passenger and I made him go very slow (he teased me). Our boys had a blast. I told Peter we should look at getting some in the future for them.
Videos of the boys on the bikes. The app on the computer isn't working at the moment for some reason for me to preview which ones were worth posting, so the videos could be entertaining or they could not. Luck of the draw LOL
Dessert : Tres Leches Pina Colada Cake
Yes, it was scrumptious!

Game Nights
Boys are grounded for a minimum of one month from all electronics. No phones, computer, Xbox or TV (they can watch whatever Peter and I turn on). Peter and I are over the attitudes and them constantly having their noses in some form of electronic. With this grounding comes more family time. The first two days into the month we had a game night. Amazingly (to their surprise) we had a lot of fun! The boys were joking around with us, there were smiles and laughter. I'm sure the boys think it's the end of the world having one whole month of no video games or Instagram, but Peter and I will most definitely enjoy the changes (in attitude) in them.
