April Hike - Teneriffe Falls (Kamikaze Falls)

 With just an extra day to spare in the month, we made it out for our April hike. Matt & Franie and Clifford's friend Kenneth joined us. Matt was actually the one to suggest Kamikaze Falls. It was a good hike, and the falls were amazing.

Emily's Birthday

We attended Emily's 11th birthday. While I didn't get any pictures of the actual birthday to share, I did get some hilarious video of games we played after presents and cake time. 

Spring Break

A Surprise Visit

My dad and Pati happen to be in the area dropping off a truck load in Everett and wanted to get together for dinner. The boys left that morning for Yakima, so it was just Peter and I. Though it was sad the boys missed out on seeing Grandpa Gibb and Grandma Pati, it was a blast with it just being us adults. They wanted something casual, so we took them to Brooklyn Bros Pizza. We sat up in the bar section (which always makes Peter and I feel more adult lol). There were lots of laughs and stories exchanged, and of course the drinks and food was delicious.

 Boys Visit Yakima

Boys spent their Spring Break down in Yakima. They tagged along on a Boy Scout hike one day, and on another day Mama Mickey took them to a skate park.

Saying Goodbye to Uncle Tom

We paid our respects to Uncle Tom. His service was beautiful. He will be greatly missed at all our future family get-togethers!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

It was made clear to me a few weeks ago from the boys that they weren't too old for an Easter basket. I kept getting asked if I bought candy yet. I made it clear to them I would not be doing baskets for them - they're too old. But secretly I had already bought some candy and had it stashed away for them. And as an added bonus, I was given tons of skateboard stickers off my local Buy Nothing group. Score!

 I excitedly yelled at the boys when they woke up to see what the Easter Bunny brought them! LOL

 Easter landed on April Fools Day. It was hard to decide what type of dessert to make. Do I made an Easter one or an April Fools one? The boys were a split vote and Peter was no help in helping us decide. Mama and Papa were going to be joining us for Easter, so I asked Kristjan to text Mama to get her vote. She picked a bunny cake. So this morning I whipped this up. Turned out cute. 

 Mama and Papa brought us some pretty flowers for the table.
