Kristjan had to have 2 more baby teeth pulled out. At his last ortho appointment, Dr. Teng was not satisfied by the lack of "looseness" of two of Kristjan's baby teeth. Recent x-rays showed that by keeping the baby teeth in any longer was going to do damage to the permanent teeth and all the work we've put in so far for straightening his teeth. So out they came. Kristjan felt miserable afterwards, with the main complaint being how long his face was numb for.

Mariner's Game
Peter and I attended another Mariner's Game, tickets courtesy of work. This time it was me who was offered the tickets by my boss. To be honest, Peter wasn't too excited to go (he's just not a huge fan of baseball), but I wanted to get out of the house and have a date with him. We compromised - if he be a good sport about it, then I'd only have us stay for half the game.

Surprise Package
I got the sweetest surprise in the mail today from my nephew Matthew (Eric & Jessica's kiddo). I shrieked in delight when I saw Donald! I've always wanted the Lego Donald ever since that set of Mystery Packs was introduced. I'm so touched by this!
Happy First Day of Fall!
Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!
To celebrate the first day of Fall, I made up some "acorns" for an after-school snack. For dinner, our friend Mel made us dinner while I made a batch of my homemade dinner rolls to go along with it.

Bob's 3rd Annual Corn Festival
This afternoon we met up with friends at Bob's Corn and Pumpkin Farm out in Snohomish to check out the 3rd Annual Corn Festival. We munched on some AMAZING roasted corn fresh off the farm, kettle corn, and bbq beef sandwiches. We checked out the few vendors that were set up, which I ended up buying a candle and bouquet of flowers. We checked out Bob's country market, snagging a bag of Caramel Corn Nuggets and a jar of B.E.A.R. jam (mixture of berries - sample was delicious). We hung out for about an hour before heading home.

First Day of 6th and 7th Grade
Oh Happy Day -- Back to School Time!!
Boys ready to start a new year, both now in Middle School: Clifford in 7th and Kristjan in 6th.
Boys saying goodbye to Peter, who is trying to convince them to let us walk them to the bus stop.
Peter and I took the day off of work to celebrate and have a day date. We enjoyed a mimosa and split breakfast before heading out for some window shopping.
Guess who came up for a visit to surprise the boys on their first day of school?! Aunt Franie!!! She even bought balloons for them!!
This was awesome. Peter and I have known for weeks that she would be coming up, and kept it a secret from the boys. One day Clifford was giving me a hard time and I posted about it on Facebook. Franie commented "Do I need to come up and give Clifford loves?" Clifford made the mistake of saying she lives too far away for her to come visit. HA! That just fueled Franie's fire to come visit for sure LOL! So she came prepared with balloons and noise clappers. I told the boys we'd pick them up from school, lying about a doctor's appointment they had so they wouldn't take the bus home. Franie made her grand appearance at the school, running and yelling Clifford's name. He went hiding in the bushes!!! Haha!
As for Kristjan, he thought it was awesome to get balloons and candy on the first day!
