Dinner with Dad and Pati

Thursday morning I received a text from my dad saying he and Pati would be in Seattle dropping off a load, and was wondering if we could meet up for dinner. So that night we met up and went out to Anthony's Seafood Grill for a delicious meal and to catch up with one another. Though their stay was short, it was a great evening and we were so happy to be able to see them.

End of Summer Bash

One of the local churches near us puts on an end-of-summer bash every year. This year we were able to attend. Clifford didn't have any interest in going, so it was just me and Kristjan. We met up with James and the girls (Mel came for just a few minutes, then used the opportunity to walk home as exercise). There were pony rides, bouncy houses, a huge inflatable water slide, face painting, cotton candy and popsicles. We stayed for about an hour. It was fun and a great way to get the kids out of the house.

Middle School End-of-Summer Kick-Off

 I took today off of work so I could the boys to pick up their schedules. For Kristjan, this was a big deal because it's his first year attending middle school. So we took our time looking for where all his classes were, and practiced opening his locker. For Clifford, his turn going in to pick up his schedule was a quick trip since he's already familiar with the school. Unfortunately for him, he was given the wrong locker combination. Come to find out every locker has 5 different combinations that are rotated each year, and the wrong numbers were printed on his schedule. So he has to wait until the first day of school to get the right combination.

Visiting Bailey's Farm

Kristjan and I tagged along with Mel and the girls to visit Bailey's Farm out in Snohomish to pick some fresh veggies and berries!
