Working Hard For The Money

Peter has a new project at work, taking lead on the plasma cutter (something they've had issues on for years now and Peter finally got the go-ahead to do whatever he needs to do to get it working to it's full potential). So these past few weeks Peter has been working long hours during the week, and has even gone in for full days two weekends in a row. He's also been getting work calls in the evening, sometimes requiring him to go back into work. I'm not too happy about the lack of family time we get with him lately, though I do completely understand this is his job and he has to do it. I get it, but I don't have to like it. But Peter is liking this and excited for the changes he's making. He promised me this won't be forever, and once things can run smoothly he'll take a day or two off.

Soccer Games

Soccer games are in full swing for Clifford. I think the team is tied in regards to games they've won and lost. This season is a little tougher for all of them. In order to keep the team intact due to new changes on how the league groups the teams by age, we had to play up a level. This means the team are playing against 13 year olds. They're doing pretty good though.

ANOTHER Project

All I wanted for us to do was put in a new closet system. But then it led to scraping paint off the ceiling and walls!! As if we don't have enough on our plate!!

Actually, this task is honestly long over due. About a year and a half ago Peter changed an outlet in our bedroom. During the process of doing this, paint started peeling off the wall  ....and it just wouldn't stop because it just kept coming off so easily. So this whole time we've had one ugly wall to look at. And there was always something else that was more pressing to deal with when it came to the house. I had told Peter a few weeks ago that I wanted him to first get his car fixed and out of the garage, then go back to working on yard work in preparation of winter coming BEFORE we dealt with the walls in our bedroom. Well, I guess Peter was feeling motivated because he decided we'd start this project NOW. So everything that was in our room (minus the bed) is now shoved into Kristjan's room, Clifford's room and the basement. Ugh! I'm doing my best to keep this as controlled chaos. Hopefully this will all be done SOON.

Elevated Sportz

Clifford's school was hosting three nights of fun at Elevated Sportz. Each night was designated for each grade level, as a chance for students to come burn off some energy and hang out with their peers. This place is just down the road from us, so we let Clifford have some freedom by dropping him off along with his friend Kenneth. From the sound of it, everyone had fun!

A Visit to Children's Hospital

 We made a visit to Seattle Children's Hospital to see our nephew Travis. We brought him a few get-well gifts and kept him company for a few hours. Travis had a Nintendo Wii in his room, so Clifford and Kristjan took turns playing with him. While the boys did that, Peter and I headed out to a local pub to pick up some food for everyone.

Grandpa Gibb and Grandma Pati Make a Visit!

My Dad and his wife Pati made a weekend visit from Virginia! It was nice being able to spend time with one another. Saturday night the boys got to spend the night at their hotel while Peter and I had time for ourselves to go out on a date. We had to say our goodbyes Sunday morning.
